Broadcaster CNN has agreed to make its footage of forthcoming US presidential election debates available to the public "without restriction".

A statement on one of CNN's blogs last Saturday said it believes "the candidates need to be held accountable for what they say throughout the election process."

"Therefore, CNN debate coverage will be available without restrictions at the conclusion of each live debate".

C'mon RTE, how about it?
